Rosie Diver
Rosie is an IT professional with wide experience of supporting users in an educational environment, providing both students and staff with expertise to help them develop and make the most of their use of learning technologies.
She has gained a thorough grounding in the provision of learning technology through her experience in Learning and Information Services at Liverpool John Moores University. In addition to supporting student use of a wide range of IT applications and systems, she has a perceptive and practical insight into the exploitation of sophisticated technical tools used in the learning and teaching environment. These include both the Blackboard and Moodle Virtual Learning Environments, and associated technologies such as online collaboration and conferencing, podcasting, wikis and blogs, as well as everyday software for mainstream tasks.
She has long experience in the training environment, in which she uses her communication skills to ensure a thorough appreciation and command of technical material and the usage of systems.
Rosie is able to empathise both with staff wishing to exploit these technologies and mediate them to their users, and with the users themselves, understanding their needs and helping to drive forward their competence.
